Wedding Crafts: Picture Table

I know many people have displayed family wedding photos at their reception. I decided I wanted to do the same thing for each side of our families.
Here was my main inspiration:

I found some nice silver 5x7 and 8x10 frames (on sale!) at Pier 1 Imports. I called my grandparents and told them of my idea. I wanted to make a copy or receive the original to put in the frames. At the end of the wedding, they were to be given back to them as a gift.
**I already knew which one of my parents I wanted. The picture hangs above their bed, and is of them hugging after having walked down the aisle as newly husband and wife. They look so happy together and I've always enjoyed seeing that special moment they shared.**
Walking up onto the porch

I had pictures of both our parents and each set of grandparents. The table also held 2 Bridal pictures, an Engagement picture, our Signature Frame, and the Save the Date that I made.

My sister and I made the hanging letters on the table using chipboard, dried moss, ribbon, and a hot glue gun. Very simple project  :)

ps- I only have one or two more wedding posts to do- and they're the best by far (I think)! I'm sorry if I've bored you to tears with my many random wedding posts & crafts, 7 months after :)

My Monday Rambling

Today is President's Day & Matt's older brother's birthday!! Happy 26th Birthday!
It is sunny and gorgeous outside, but a little windy. Looking forward to a nice walk with the pup after I run some errands.

I'm SO pumped that I have crossed the 25 follower mark! THANK YOU!! I truly look forward to every new follower and comment!! It makes my heart smile :) Also, I can't wait to add some *new items* to my Etsy as well this week! So be on the lookout!!!

Matt and I were in Greensboro this past Saturday to attend a memorial service honoring his grandma and  in support of his dad and our family. It was a special time of sharing memories, stories, and words of wisdom. It is always nice just to be with family. I was able to learn more about her since I never had the pleasure of meeting Matt's grandmother.

On Friday, I decided to link up my "Happy Spring/Easter" wreath at two of my favorite inspirational craft blogs. And in doing so, I was able to check out what everyone else in blog world was creating. There were over 600 links @ Tatertots & Jello and Whipperberry had 96!! So many fun things to see!

Therefore, I wanted to share my favorite find with you!! It has many elements that I enjoy: photographs, frames, fabric, art, an embroidery hoop, a wreath, a monogram, and plenty of COLOR :)

Winter is for the birds!

With the weather reaching into the high 60's this past week (today is 76)
......I am ready for Spring!!!
I love turning the air off and opening the windows, sitting out on the porch, taking a nice evening stroll, and wearing short sleeves. However, I know that it will get cold again like it always does. I don't mean to be "debbie downer", but it's not even March yet!  I'll just be praying for an early Spring! :)

I just wanted to share a little project that I just (literally) finished working on!!

It's a funky wreath for the front door with a separate sign to hang behind it. I won't make a tutorial for it because it's truly easy. I just took scraps of fabric and ribbon and went to town. It's really kitschy and colorful. I found a little bird house stake (Target One spot) that I added too.

The hanging sign was from the Dollar Store. I used scrapbook paper, Spray Adhesive, stamps,  flower rub-ons, & glitter.
One side says "Happy Spring" and the other side "Happy Easter" in different stamp designs.
i love Martha Stewart glitter

Lucy enjoying the nice weather :)

Post-Valentine's

I am married to a wonderful man. He is simply amazing.

We have only been able to share 3 out of 5 Valentine's Days together, (our dating relationship was long distance until 2010) I had no idea what plans he had for last night. [FIVE! That sounds so unreal to me!]

After cleaning, I made Mocha cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. Yum. Anyways.....
I love my husband. I am so thankful to have him.
I appreciate all that he does for me/for us.

&
He knows me too well: flowers, his cooking, and cheesecake with chocolate and strawberries.

I love tulips! (Honestly, I don't really like roses)
