Tiny Update

Thank you to all of you who were in prayer for me a few weekends ago!!!
My mom and I made it to NC & back safely. Although we had a good time, it wasn't necessarily "great". As terrible as that sounds, the emotional stress is very high and we have to continually lean on Him for strength.

If you can gather, we went up to visit my dear brother. I'm not ready to share (not sure when I really will be) what's going on, but I just ask that you continue to be in prayer.
I need to be too- without ceasing.

Next week will be one of the hardest despite being together for Thanksgiving.
But He has plans and I will continue to trust that He is mighty to save.

Thanks again!

MISSONI {for Target} Tiered Serving Trays

When Missoni came out with a line for Target, I waited 2 days before venturing out to my local store. I was interested in seeing what all the fuss was about. Several things were gone, but there was still plenty leftover (lucky me!) I grabbed up only a few items: 2 coffee mugs, 2 storage bins, and a couple of the plastic dinner, salad, and appetizer plates with the intention of using them for two separate tiered serving trays.

So to make the tiered trays:

I already had some Dollar Tree glass candlesticks.....
which I spray painted with Krylon's Dual Paint + Primer (in Satin Black)
and attached them to each other using E-6000 glue.

The plates before being assembled

This plate is my favorite

These serving trays were really easy to make & I can't wait to use these or gift them!
{They'd be great for serving "small bites" at a party, shower, or tailgate}

Remake 3 {Pinterest}

It's that time again! Time for another post with my creations inspired by my Pinterest boards! I love having all of my ideas on hand anytime I want to make something! And I love posting my projects 1-2 times a month! Gets the creative juices flowing as to what I can make next!!
(Check out Remake One and Two)

1. Pumpkin Bread Pudding***
The bread pudding wasn't too hard to make, and I added an extra 1/4 tsp of caramel flavoring to make it a little sweeter. I'm not sure if it cooked long enough because it was a little more soggy than I would have liked.
*I also used Challah bread instead

2. Tulle Rolled Flower Wreath****
My mom gave me her wedding veil to use however I wanted, but all I took off was the blusher. It had been sitting in my sewing box for a while and I thought this was the perfect craft to use it for. The wreath makes the perfect addition to my mini gallery wall :)

3. Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks****
In lieu of having pizza ingredients, Matt and I made cheese sticks. Despite the ugliness of this picture, they were really tasty!! MMMM!

4. Dollar Tree Candle Holders*****
These are a version of the knock-off Williams Sonoma candles ($68-78)!!! All you need is a candlestick, vase, and pillar candle. I can't tell you how much I love the Dollar Tree for providing a cheap $3 craft!

5. Button Cover Earrings****
I've been wanting to make these for months! The tutorial I found for these earrings is actually for thumbtacks, but it's the same concept only using earring backs :)
*The most annoying part is taking the backs off with pliers!

Request

I just wanted to write a little post to ask for prayer.
Some of you might know bits and pieces of the story. It's not really one I like to talk about.

I guess all I'll say for now is that there are some really tough circumstances my family is about to face.
Something that has been going on for several years now.

Please pray for my mom and I as we travel up to NC today. For safe travels. For wisdom.
Pray that whatever happens will be the Lord's will and we can display love and grace.

Thank you
